Casting in Marble

The sculptures "Grace" and "Blowing a Kiss" were originally created in terracotta, then cast in Cararra marble resin. 

To make a marble replica of a sculpture, several molds are made of all the key portions of the piece. Then ground marble is bonded with resin and poured into the molds. After the marble hardens and the molds are removed, the portions are assembled using more marble resin to produce a replica.
